The Accumulation of “FOG” fats, oils and greases is the main cause of blockages and floods (Fatbergs) in kitchen drain and sewer lines. It is also the cause of failure in lift stations, wet well operations, and the main reason for malodour.
Problems caused by discharge of FOG are widespread and represent huge direct and indirect remedial action cost. (Pump-out charges).
Biodose Block is one of a number of solutions offered by Biodose Ltd to mitigate these issues.
The product is designed to be used from point of discharge through the entire drain line system right up to the sewage treatment plant.
One 1.5kg block will last 3 months at normal dose rates and can be dispensed via the Biodose Dissolver into the main drain system normally in the early hours of the morning.
The bacteria in Biodose Block is capable of degrading FOG at the very low dissolved oxygen concentrations encountered in almost all drain line applications.
Why do we need Biodose Lift Station Block?
The Biodose Lift Station Block is specifically manufactured for slow release as the combination of selected surfactants, binders and salts form a protective gel when the product is immersed in water.
This ensures that turbulence and shear forces of fast flowing effluent does not overdose the system nor reduce the lifetime of the product.
Biodose Block is completely soluble and will leave no residue for disposal.

The Biodose Lift Station Block is supplied in a tight mesh geo-textile filter sock manufactured from stitch bonded cotton and provides high tensile strength. This is useful in particularly fast flowing waste streams for a longer lifetime (up to 3 months).
It is completely soluble and will leave no residue for disposal. If used in the sock provided, this is biodegradable and can be disposed of as compostable waste.
Optimum conditions for use
The bacteria in BIOSEPT perform within a pH range of between 5.5 and 8.5, with optimum activity near a pH of 7.0. Temperature affects the growth rate of the bacterial population and activity improves with a temperature of between 25°C and 35°C. No appreciable activity can be expected below 5°C and above 55°
Storage and handling
· Store in a dry place at room temperature.
· Avoid excessive inhalation.
· Avoid eye contact.
· Wash hands thoroughly with warm, soapy water after handling.
